Gigi Masin is an Italian composer and ambient musician from Venice, recognized for his influential 1986 album Wind and as a member of Gaussian Curve alongside Jonny Nash and Young Marco. Originally released in a limited run, Wind later gained cult status when sampled by artists like Björk and Nujabes, sparking renewed interest in Masin's work. In recent years, his music has been reissued, and he has continued to release both solo recordings and collaborations, including projects with Gaussian Curve and the Italian duo Tempelhof. Masin’s melodic, atmospheric style has made a lasting impact on the ambient and electronic music scene.
