Ever struggled to find unobtrusive sounds without any traffic noise to create historic backgrounds? Well BOOM Library did it, so they decided to create a library to address that.
Most of the sounds were recorded in authentic medieval environments in Germany. BOOM Library went out to visit medieval heritage sites like ruins and castles. For the market place recordings they went to farmers markets around the cathedral in Mainz, Germany that was built around 975 A.D. A perfect place to capture the spirit of medieval market places.
On trip they recorded the hard life of people living in this era. They recorded medieval farm sounds like animals, mechanics of old tools, hurly-burly on marketplaces, blacksmiths hammering metal and working with wood, church bells, voices and a lot more.
