The B4000+ is the result of years of development emulating the legendary electromechanical Hammond B3 organ. It features a sound module with drawbars and intuitive controls. Full polyphony, 128 presets. Emulation of two manuals and a pedal, with options to connect Swell (volume) and Slow/Fast (speed) pedals, USB, MIDI.
Electromechanical Hammond organs were first built in 1935. Despite their original intent for church music, they became popular in various genres including jazz, pop, and rock. They experienced a renaissance in the 1960s, with personalities like Jimmy Smith, Shirley Scott, Jon Lord, Keith Emerson, Marián Varga, and Karel Růžička making them famous. Today, virtuosos on this still-popular keyboard instrument include Joey DeFrancesco, Barbara Dennerlein, Cory Henry, and Ondřej Pivec. Hammond organs have left a lasting impression in nearly all music genres. The technique of creating different tones by combining simple frequencies (additive synthesis) generated by gears and mixing them through drawbars was revolutionary at the time. Adding in the tube amplifier and Leslie box with switchable rotation speeds of the sound tubes, this instrument offers enormous possibilities for both contemporary and future music.
Ferrofish
Many manufacturers have attempted to recreate the sound of the most popular model, the Hammond B3. The goal is to faithfully emulate all the characteristic features of the original organs, including the tube amplifier and Leslie box. Therefore, the B4000+ doesn't just play samples; it simulates the entire mechanism of the original instrument in all details, including its "imperfections" that are inseparably part of the sound and add to its character. Only this way can a perfectly authentic sound experience be achieved.
