The Medusa can help you achieve anything between a really tight and overdriven sound, easily a metalcore or mid focused Dino Cazares sound, to chainsaw or grindcore territory. It has one of the most versatile eq versatility, and to top it a really good and useful noise gate. I use a orange combo amp, that by itself is perfect for 70s rock, but with the Medusa gets me to every metal territory, something that I could never achieve with a regular tube screamer/overdrive pedal.
