Soundiron Axe Machina is a powerful multi-sampled virtual electric guitar library designed for creating heavy metal guitar parts within a sampler environment such as Kontakt. It is based on detailed samples of a custom 7-string metal guitar, capturing a wide range of expressive articulations and playing techniques for realistic performances.

The instrument is built around a custom Kiesel Aries 7-string guitar tuned to A Standard, featuring 24 frets and high-output pickups. This setup delivers a strong, aggressive tone suitable for metal, rock, and other high-gain music styles.

Axe Machina includes a broad selection of articulations, such as single-note sustains, power chords, palm-muted notes with multiple variations, pinch harmonics, muted hits, pick scrapes, rakes, slides, fret noise, and other expressive guitar effects. Samples are provided both as clean direct-input recordings and amp-processed versions, allowing flexible tone shaping or re-amping.

The library includes multiple instrument presets and a clear, performance-focused interface. Real-time articulation switching, key-switch mapping, an arpeggiator, auto-strum functions, and sequencing tools make it possible to create dynamic and convincing guitar parts directly from MIDI. Additional controls include filters, LFO modulation, glide, and performance shaping parameters.

A built-in effects rack provides comprehensive sound processing options, including modulation effects, delays, distortion, amp and cabinet simulation, compression, equalization, and high-quality convolution reverb with multiple acoustic environments.

The sample library occupies approximately 32 GB and contains tens of thousands of high-resolution samples. Axe Machina is designed for use with the full retail version of Kontakt or compatible sampler environments that support Kontakt instruments.
