Radoslav Kvapil, born in 1934 in Brno, is a Czech pianist acclaimed for his interpretations of Czech piano repertoire. He has recorded extensively, featuring works by Dvořák, Smetana, Martinů, Janáček, Voříšek, Novák and Suk. Internationally recognized, he has performed at major events such as the Chopin International Piano Festival in Nohant, often focusing on the music of Chopin. His discography includes Chopin’s Complete Ballades and Impromptus as well as the Studies. Kvapil remains a significant figure in both Czech and international classical music scenes.
