Expanded 1U rack-mount version of Tech 21’s popular SansAmp Bass Driver DI pedal that provides a dedicated Mid control and an XLR Output Level control for optimum performance with PA systems, in addition to original Drive, Presence, and active Bass and Treble controls. It also features an Effect Loop with a Mix 50/50 switch (for parallel or series operation), an XLR output with selectable levels, and a buffered direct XLR output to provide a dry signal. This unit can be used in studio plugged directly into the board, and on stage plugged directly through the house PA without using a separate amp or with power amp and a speaker cabinet. Its Drive control adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive, while the Presence brings out the upper harmonic content and attack. The Blend allows user to mix the direct instrument signal with SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry. Active Bass and Treble controls cut or boost ±12dB, as well as the dedicated Mid control. Individual Level control for the XLR output optimizes the amplifier’s output relative to the P.A. system. The unit also features a footswitch output to chain and toggle between another SansAmp RBI.
