Jaylah Ji'mya Hickmon, known professionally as Doechii, is an acclaimed American rapper and singer who first gained widespread attention when her songs went viral on TikTok in 2021. After signing with Top Dawg Entertainment and Capitol Records in 2022, Doechii broke into the mainstream with her platinum-certified single "What It Is (Block Boy)" featuring Kodak Black. In 2023, she made her acting debut in the film Earth Mama. Doechii’s second mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal, reached the top 10 of the Billboard 200 and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album, making her only the third female artist to win in this category. The mixtape produced several hit singles, including "Nissan Altima" and "Anxiety," the latter debuting in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
