Electro-Harmonix Canyon Delay & Looper — Compact Multi-Effects Engine

The Electro-Harmonix Canyon Delay & Looper delivers ten delay voicings plus a 62-second looper in a pedalboard-friendly housing. Built around a digital circuit with buffered mono I/O, this pedal covers clean digital repeats, modulated sweeps, shimmer, octave delay, and a Deluxe Memory Man emulation across eleven selectable modes.

Eleven Modes and Hidden Parameter Access

What separates this pedal from a standard delay is its mode range. A dedicated DMM setting emulates the legendary Deluxe Memory Man, while the TAPE mode adds warble and tape-age character. Holding the Tap/Divide button unlocks secondary parameters — modulation depth, tape distortion, reverb mix — without menu diving.

Delay Engine and Tap Tempo

The delay engine covers a 5 ms to 3 s range, suitable for tight slap-back, dotted-eighth patterns, and long ambient washes. Tap tempo can be set via the built-in footswitch or an external momentary footswitch plugged into the rear-panel Tap In jack.

This model runs a mono in/mono out signal path with buffered bypass, preserving tone across long cable runs and large pedal chains. A Tails switch lets players choose whether echoes repeat or stop instantly when the pedal is bypassed.
