Laufey is an Icelandic singer-songwriter and musician who blends jazz influences with contemporary pop. Rising to fame in the early 2020s, she first gained attention as a classically trained cellist, performing with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra at age 15 and appearing on both Iceland's Got Talent and The Voice Iceland. After studying at Berklee College of Music, she released her debut EP, Typical of Me, in 2021. Her first full-length album, Everything I Know About Love, received international recognition, while her second album, Bewitched, earned her a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Known for her captivating vocal style and modern take on traditional genres, Laufey continues to expand her audience with music that bridges classic and contemporary sounds. Her third album, A Matter Of Time, is scheduled for release in August 2025.
