The PE-5 is a bass and upright bass pedal that features a sophisticated 5-band equalizer and also offers excellent features like a preamplifier, Direct Box and signal amplifier.

The PE-5 is designed with a unique switchable input impedance that allows the pedal to match the magnetic or piezo sensor exactly. It reaches the full bandwidth for each sensing source. In addition, it is a signal amplifier that compensates for the low output of the sensors and also provides sufficient drive for any amplifier. Input level and gain controls are designed to match the sensor output exactly. The line output is strong enough to be used directly in a power amplifier or powered speaker.

The 5-band equalizer is a high-precision equalizer, which means that each level of gain or reduction is identical to each adjacent band. The plus Q factor of each band is the same. This makes it much easier for the player to achieve the tone he is striving for. These frequency bands have been carefully selected for the bass voice so that the user will be able to quickly adjust the EQ to get the desired sound.

The DI output has the highest sound quality that can be obtained, making it the same as the best recording studio mixing consoles and live sound systems. It has an extremely high signal-to-noise ratio and is equipped with a ground lift switch that eliminates the possibility of "network hum".

The PE5 can be powered by a standard 9-volt DC pedal adapter or it can be powered by its own internal lithium-ion battery, which is charged by a standard mobile phone charger via a USB connector.
