Reverend Dub King High Tide Blue: Boutique Short-Scale Bass with Depth and Clarity

The Reverend Dub King High Tide Blue combines premium materials and innovative design to offer a short-scale bass that stands out for both its sonic richness and playability. This model features a semi-hollow korina body topped with solid spruce, paired with a 5-piece korina and walnut neck and a silky rosewood fingerboard. With its striking High Tide Blue finish, custom pickups, and modern hardware, the Dub King delivers stage-worthy looks as well as a versatile tonal range. Engineered for players who want expressive, thick low end and clear articulation in a boutique-quality instrument, it excels in both studio and live settings.

Standout Features: Signature Pickups and Semi-Hollow Construction

What sets this model apart is its unique pairing of a semi-hollow korina body with custom Reverend Thick Brick (bridge) and Split Brick (neck) pickups. The blend control allows seamless mixing of pickup voices, while the string-through or top-load bridge maximizes sustain. High-quality hardware—including Hipshot Ultralite tuners and a Pure Tone Technologies jack—completes the pro-grade build.

Short Scale Playability and Construction

A 30" (762 mm) short scale gives the Dub King a slinky feel and pronounced low-end response, making it accessible for players of all sizes. The five-piece korina/walnut neck adds stability and clarity, while the 21-fret rosewood fingerboard (12"/305 mm radius) ensures smooth navigation across the neck.

• Scale Length: 762 mm — comfortable short-scale feel and punchy lows
• Ergonomically shaped, the 5-piece korina/walnut Medium Oval neck delivers both strength and comfort in hand for extended sessions.
• Fingerboard: Rosewood, 12" (305 mm) radius, 21 frets — smooth action and classic look

Electronics and Tonal Versatility

The custom-voiced pickups in this instrument provide everything from vintage-inspired thump to modern midrange bite. Passive electronics include a master volume, tone, and a blend (pan) control for dialing in signature sounds. The Split Brick neck pickup delivers focused, deep lows, while the Thick Brick bridge pickup adds clarity and articulation.

• Pickups: Reverend Split Brick (neck), Thick Brick (bridge) — wide tonal range from dub to rock
• Controls: Volume, Tone, Pan — precise blending and shaping
• Passive circuitry keeps the signal open and organic for a natural response.
