The Moog Prodigy Sound in Your DAW
Released in 1979 as an affordable Moog monosynth, the Prodigy became loved for its direct controls, two oscillators, hard sync, glide and the bite of its ladder filter. Martinic Prodigy brings that sound to your DAW without the need to track down and maintain rare vintage hardware. Using Martinic's ACE (Advanced Circuitry Emulation) technology, it recreates the sweet spots of the original analog circuitry, from raw basses to cutting leads.
Classic Tone, Expanded for Modern Production
Beyond the original feature set, Prodigy adds a fourth oscillator waveform, adjustable pulse width, a sub-oscillator, a pink/white noise generator, filter drive, an extended Multidrive circuit and a mono spring reverb inspired by the Moog 905. Use it as a focused monophonic bass and lead machine, or switch to 6-voice unison with detune and stereo spread or 8-voice polyphony. The extended MIDI note range covers 128 notes and the instrument responds to velocity.
Built-In Sequencer and Performance Control
The analog-style sequencer runs as a single 16-step chain or two parallel 8-step chains, with tempo sync, retrigger, loop, one-shot and single-step modes. Step levels can modulate the oscillators, filter, pulse width, mix, volume and pan, with optional pitch quantize. MPE pitch bend, MIDI learn for all settings, program changes and sustain pedal support make Prodigy just as useful live as in the studio.
