Giusto Manetti Battiloro Gold Leaf Books Bladgull 80 x 80 mm 16 g Pure Gold 24 kt Loose 5 Leaves

Gold Leaf. Traditional Gold Leaf Loose represents a classic form of pure 24-karat gold designed for professional restoration, craft, and artistic gilding. The pack consists of loose leaves measuring 80 × 80 mm, which are not attached to a backing paper. This format provides a high level of control during handling, allowing the material to easily adapt to complex shapes and intricate surfaces.

The thickness and strength of the gold leaf are defined by a standardized weight of 16 grams per 1,000 leaves. This versatile medium thickness combines excellent flexibility for detailed work with sufficient durability during application. The gold is suitable for use on wood, inlaid surfaces, picture frames, decorative elements, and sculptural objects.

The material is ideal for the water gilding technique (gilding on bole), enabling a highly polished, mirror-like finish. It can also be used for oil gilding on prepared smooth substrates.

Thanks to the fineness and purity of 24-karat gold, the leaves adhere perfectly to the surface, creating an even coverage with an authentic look typical of traditional historical techniques. This product is suitable for restorers, artisan craftspeople, and creators seeking a precise, professional result for smaller projects or restoration details.
