Lights, born Valerie Anne Poxleitner-Bokan on April 11, 1987, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, comic book author, and artist. She first gained attention with her debut album The Listening in 2009, featuring the singles Drive My Soul and Saviour. Her follow-up album, Siberia, arrived in 2011 and included the hit Toes. Known for her electro-pop style and creative projects, Lights has received multiple Canadian Independent Music Awards and Juno Awards, including Pop Album of the Year for Little Machines and Skin and Earth. In recent years, she has released Pep in 2022 and her latest album, A6, in 2025.
