The mk3 generation brings a redesigned keybed, USB-C connectivity and a refined control layout, making it the go-to portable controller for home studio producers and musicians on the move.

Synth-Action Keys and Wheels

The 25 synth-action keys are velocity-sensitive with a light, responsive feel suited to synth programming and chord triggering. The redesigned keybed delivers noticeably improved consistency compared to the previous Impact LX generation. Pitch bend and modulation wheels sit to the left for natural expressive control during recording and live play.

Pads, Encoders and Buttons

Eight velocity-sensitive pads with 8 selectable pad maps handle beat programming, chromatic performance and sample triggering without needing to reach for a separate pad controller. Nine full-resolution encoders — one large master encoder plus eight standard — deliver precise parameter control in any DAW, plugin or hardware setup. Twenty-two additional buttons cover transport, octave, transpose and mode selection.

Scale, Chord and Hold Modes

Built-in Scale mode filters note output to a chosen musical scale, so every key played stays in key — useful for both beginners and experienced producers working fast. Chord mode triggers full chords from a single key press, and Hold mode sustains notes and chords hands-free for easy layering and drone effects during performance.

DAW Integration, NKS and Connectivity

Deep Nektar DAW integration maps transport, track selection and plugin parameters automatically across all major DAWs — no manual MIDI setup required. Full NI NKS compatibility gives plug-and-play control of NI Komplete instruments and any NKS-ready plugin.
