PIANO Premier "KAWAI Legend" — A Concert Grand in Your Studio

PIANO Premier "KAWAI Legend" by Premier Sound Factory brings the sound of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX competition concert grand into any home studio. Recorded with Kawai's full cooperation in 96kHz/24-bit Super Hi-Res audio, the library runs inside Kontakt or the free Kontakt Player version 6.1.0 or higher on macOS and Windows. A 48 kHz/16-bit version is included for 44.1 and 48 kHz sessions, and the download size is 43 GB.

What Makes This Piano Library Special

Built entirely from recorded samples — every resonance and pedal noise captured from the real instrument, with a total of 42 layers per key. The patented Velocity+ feature extends the standard MIDI velocity range up to 254, so even the strongest fortissimo strikes sound natural on keyboards with aftertouch.

Who Is It For

This virtual instrument is the right choice for producers, composers and pianists who want the character of a world-class concert grand without the space or budget for the real instrument. Beginners will appreciate the simple parameters and free Kontakt Player compatibility, while experienced players will value the deep Velocity+ response and harmonic resonance.
