D'Addario NW025 Enkel gitarstreng

D'Addario NW025 Single String — .025" Nickel Wound Electric Guitar Replacement

The D'Addario NW025 is a single replacement string from the XL Nickel Wound series, the best-selling electric guitar string line in D'Addario's catalogue. At .025" gauge, it sits in the mid-range of the XL singles lineup and works as a drop-in replacement for a broken or worn G string on a standard 6-string electric, or as a building block for a custom gauge set. Round-wound nickel-plated steel construction delivers the distinctive bright tone the XL series is known for, with strong attack and clear note definition. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA at the company's New York production facility.

Who It's For

The NW025 is the right choice for electric guitar players who need a single replacement string without buying a full set, whether to swap out a broken G string or to fine-tune the feel of an existing setup. It suits players who prefer the bright, articulate character of nickel-plated steel round-wound strings — a tone that works well for rock, blues, country, and pop styles. The single-string format also appeals to players building custom gauge sets, such as hybrid light-top/heavy-bottom configurations or alternate tunings, where one specific gauge is needed outside a standard set. As part of the XL series, this string matches the tone and feel of any other XL string on the guitar, making it a seamless addition to an existing XL-equipped instrument.
