MDrumCleaner addresses the persistent challenge of bleed during drum recordings. Featuring five advanced algorithms, this powerful tool can be utilized individually or in combination, making it effective even in the most challenging scenarios. Notably, two of these algorithms are suitable for live performances, ensuring clarity by eliminating unwanted sounds such as hi-hat bleed in your snare mic or cymbals in the toms. While MDrumCleaner can be applied to other instruments, it truly excels with drums, which are notoriously difficult to manage.

Cymbal Killer

The Cymbal Killer employs a classic filtering technique that focuses on your primary drum, such as the snare. By filtering out high frequencies where hi-hats and cymbals reside, it selectively opens the high end only when the drum is struck, preserving its natural sound.

Side-chain Remover

With the Side-chain Remover, you can eliminate unwanted sounds from your recordings, provided they were captured simultaneously. For instance, if you have hi-hat bleed in your snare mic, simply let your drummer play the hi-hat for a few seconds. The plugin will analyze the sound from both mics, allowing you to effectively remove the bleed from your snare mic. Although this spectral module introduces latency and may not be suitable for live use, it can be invaluable in the studio.

Spectrum Cleaner

The Spectrum Cleaner allows you to understand your drum's unique sound profile and removes any frequencies outside of that range. By having your drummer play a single drum for a few seconds, the plugin analyzes the sound and performs its magic, effectively cleaning up your recordings.

Spectrum Gate

Removing quiet frequencies is made easy with the Spectrum Gate. This efficient tool requires no analysis; it simply works because the drum being recorded is consistently louder than any bleed, ensuring a clean sound.
