English Teacher is an indie rock band from Leeds and Lancashire, formed in 2020. The band features Lily Fontaine on vocals, Lewis Whiting on guitar, Douglas Frost on drums, and Nicholas Eden on bass. Their debut album, This Could Be Texas, released through Island Records, won the Mercury Music Prize in 2024.
