The MV50 Brian May is a unique and inspiring guitar amplifier that is the result of a collaboration between Vox and the legendary Brian May from Queen, successfully encapsulating his iconic tone into the popular VOX MV50 tube amp, with a perfectly matched accompanying cabinet.

With a combined weight of less than 5kg, guitarists everywhere can now enjoy Brian May’s iconic stadium rock tone in a small and lightweight tube amp rig.

Powered by Vox’s Nutube technology – a revolutionary new vacuum tube that produces authentic tube tone at a fraction of the size – the MV50 Brian May is based on the MV50 circuitry and AC30 tone, but with the addition of a KAT (Knight Audio Technologies) treble booster, which can be toggled on or off, allowing guitarists to achieve Brian May’s instantly recognizable tone.

With a refined control panel featuring gain, tone and volume controls, the MV50 also features an EQ switch that can be toggled from flat (perfect for larger cabs) to deep (ideal for getting a deeper tone even from a smaller cab).

When combined with its matching speaker cabinet, the MV50 produces a 25w output at 8ohms, packing a large punch despite its small size. The MV50 Brian May’s headphone/line out also features speaker emulation, so you have the option of recording directly from the amp head without needing to mic up the cab.

Weighing just 540g for the head and 3.9kg for the matching cab, this is one of the lightest tube setups available to guitarists, and certainly a lot lighter than Brian’s on-stage trio of AC30s! You can truly take Brian’s iconic tone with you wherever you go.
