All wound strings are treated with a micro-thin layer of enamel that repels unwanted moisture and oils and prevents decay and corrosion up to five times more than uncoated sets. Plain strings feature a patented reinforcement winding of titanium wire that prevents string breakage, slippage and is proven to keep the strings in tune better than conventional plain strings.
