Matchbox Twenty is an American rock band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 1995. The group features Rob Thomas, Brian Yale, Paul Doucette, and Kyle Cook. They gained worldwide recognition with their debut album Yourself or Someone Like You, which went diamond in the United States. Their follow-up albums Mad Season and More Than You Think You Are continued their commercial success. After a hiatus and a lineup change, the band reunited to release the compilation Exile on Mainstream and later their chart-topping album North in 2012. In 2023, they returned with their fifth studio album, Where the Light Goes. Matchbox Twenty is known for their melodic rock sound and enduring popularity.
