Polaris is a metalcore band from Sydney, Australia, featuring Jamie Hails on vocals, Rick Schneider on guitar, Jake Steinhauser on bass and vocals, and Daniel Furnari on drums. Gaining recognition for their powerful blend of metalcore with progressive and ambient elements, Polaris delivers melodic hooks and lyrics exploring themes such as anxiety, depression, and loss. Their debut album, The Mortal Coil, released in 2017, and their follow-up, The Death of Me, released in 2020, both received critical acclaim and ARIA Award nominations. Ahead of their third album, Fatalism, the band mourned the loss of lead guitarist Ryan Siew in 2023.
