Full-fledged, 61-key analogue modelling synthesizer that carries on the design philosophy of classic Korg analogue synthesizers such as the MS-20 and the Mono/Poly, which gave rise to the Prophecy, the Z1, the MS2000, and the RADIAS. It delivers the unique characteristics of a dedicated synthesizer, especially the fun of transforming the sound by tweaking an impressive array of knobs. While technologically impressive, it is approachable even to players who are new to synthesizers and is perfect for live performance. The synthesizer features a 3-oscillator x 2-timbre (layer/split) design that allows for generating thick and rich sounds, plus a Korg’s proprietary XMT (Xpanded Modeling Technology modelling sound engine. XMT was created specifically to offer a wide variety of sounds, while keeping operation simple. The synthesizer provides pre-set algorithms that contain combinations of various types and numbers of oscillators, allowing for easy and quick sculpting of stage-ready sounds. The wide range of oscillator algorithms includes the choices you would expect from an analogue synthesizer – sawtooth wave, square wave, and noise – in addition to numerous PCM/DWGS algorithms, providing plenty of choices for creating highly personal sounds. The synthesizer also provides a diverse variety of filters for unparalleled flexibility: in addition to a variety of essential analogue modelling filter types, it offers models of filters that reproduce the analogue monophonic synths used for lead and bass in the '70s, the polyphonic synths used in new wave music of the '80s, and the filters of Korg's classic MS-20 analogue synth. It further provides three master effect slots, each providing a choice of six effect types: PRE FX, with types such as distortion and amp simulator; MOD FX, with classic effects like phaser, chorus, and tremolo; and REV/DELAY, with ambience effects such as hall reverb and modulation delay. The vacuum tube driver circuit, built upon years of analogue experience, further adds rich overtones and powerful distortion. The synthesizer provides 300 programs (200 presets/100 users) in 8 categories, 24-voice polyphony, balanced XLR-3-31 connector for microphone, 6.3mm L/Mono, R output, 3.5mm stereo headphone output and CV/GATE OUT jack that allows for control of a Korg monotribe or MS-20. Other features includes a panel layout designed for intuitive operation, 16-band vocoder with Formant Shift and Formant Hold, arpeggiator, 16 x 2 characters OLED and 128 x 64 pixel OLED displays, semi-weighted and velocity-sensitive keyboard, MIDI and USB connectivity.
